pco5AqoriThe Twentieth Century Club is offering a Women’s Enlightenment Scholarship Program. The scholarship’s purpose is to assist women in the community with “education to enlighten their lives.”  Adult women, 25 years or older, who desire to pursue new knowledge or pursue a new skill are encouraged to apply. Applications can be found at the Community Resource Center, from Manchester Family Services, or by contacting the Trumpeter, and must be returned by April 15th.

One of the longest meeting organizations in Manchester, The Twentieth Century Club was founded in 1899. It began as a social club where women could gather to talk about topics of interest and bring in speakers to teach new skills. Women who wish to apply for the scholarship will continue The Twentieth Century Club’s commitment to life-long learning. Some of the new knowledge and skills the scholarship can cover include taking a class, participating in a workshop, or attending a seminar.

Applications, due April 15th, should be mailed to Diane Du Russel, President, Manchester Twentieth Century Club, P.O. Box 394, Manchester, MI 48158.
