Manchester High School names Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Audrey Pierce, Valedictorian, and Nathan Hicken, Salutatorian, are Manchester High School Class of 2016's top two students.

Manchester High School has announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2016.

Audrey Michelle Pierce, with a cumulative GPA of 4.350, was named Valedictorian as the top-ranking senior this year. Audrey is the daughter of Colleen Pierce and Thomas Pierce of Manchester and has held high honors and scholar-athlete honors for all four years. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, where she served as co-president; the Drama Club, Quiz Bowl team, Student Council, and was co-founder of the Tabletop Gaming Club at MHS.

Audrey plans to attend the University of Michigan, where she has been accepted into the LSA Honors Program and intends to study physics.

Nathan Hicken, the son of Allen and Alisa Hicken of Manchester, has a cumulative GPA of 4.323. Also holding high honors for all four years of high school, he has been a member of the Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Drum Line; and has also been actively involved in National Honor Society, Key Club, the Robotics Team, Drama Club, and the Quiz Bowl team.

Next fall, Nathan will enroll at Brigham Young University.
