Community Update on Watkins Lake State Park at next Chamber of Commerce meeting

The public is invited to attend the upcoming Chamber of Commerce meeting and learn about the new park in a presentation titled Watkins Lake State Park and County Preserve – An Update on the New Park, Public Input Sessions, Potential Commercial Impact to Manchester, and Shared-Use Trail Extension. The meeting will be held Monday, July 11 at noon at the MAHS Kingsley-Jenter House located at 302 E. Main St. Special guests at the meeting include James O’Brien, Michigan DNR Park Supervisor of Watkins Lake State Park; Coy Vaughn, Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission Deputy Director; and Nicole Van Bloom, Michigan DNR Southern Michigan Trails Specialist.

A lunch meal will be provided by Frank's Place. A $5 donation to help cover the cost of food is requested from attendees. Please RSVP for the meal head count by July 7 to Ray Berg at rayberg@att.net or by calling the chamber at 734-476-4565.
