This Thursday, the Manchester Area Historical Society will host “Manchester Heritage Day” as part of this summer’s “Make it Manchester Thursdays.” Manchester Heritage Day will take place on Thursday, July 7 from 3 to 7 pm, at both the Manchester Area Historical Society’s Kingsley-Jenter House located at 302 E. Main and right up the street at the John Schneider Blacksmith Shop located 324 E. Main. There will be open houses at both locations, along with demonstrations, displays, information, and neat things to see. Refreshments will also be served!

Events at the Kingsley-Jenter House begin at 3 pm, and the blacksmithing demonstrations begin at 4 pm. Want to know the history of your Manchester house? Want to see rug hooking? Wonder how rope is made? Curious about the upcoming sesquicentennial? Visit the Kingsley-Jenter House. And afterwards stop by the Blacksmith Shop where you’ll be treated to flames, banging, humor and interesting facts!

Don’t forget to visit the Farmers Market and make your way down Main Street to the gazebo for Shari Kane and Dave Steele in concert playing blues guitar!
