ce-logoOn the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 14, 107 Consumers Energy customers in the Manchester area suffered a power outage for a little more than an hour. According to Consumers Energy, the cause was an equipment failure on their system. Other customers suffered from momentary power loss including the schools, knocking out their phones and computers.

Middle and High School computers and phones were back up faster than Klager Elementary's, whose phones were out for a few minutes and computers down for more than an hour.

The same afternoon residents of the Pleasant Lake area reported hearing possible explosions or booms but nothing was discovered. Fire chief, Mike Riesterer of the Manchester Township Fire Department reported, "Our investigation did not turn up anything. In the past we've responded to that area and found people target shooting, but today's run was not associated with a specific address."
