Dance, Manchester! Recognized for Community Importance: Next Dance Nov 12th

Come join the dance on Saturday, November 12th! Students 13 and older, accompanied by an adult are always welcome. We will have Peter Baker calling and Manchester’s own Carol & Mark Palms & Friends providing music. Dances run from 7:30 to 10 pm with instruction for beginners in the first half hour. The caller gives instructions throughout the Contra Dances until the dancers can perform the dance on their own. It is always rewarding for everyone to notice that they are doing the steps without any coaching!

Don’t dance? Come and listen to the live music and watch the dancers. Bring a friend! $5 suggested donation.

Dance, Manchester! started the 2016/2017 dance season on Saturday, October 8th at Emanuel Church Gym (324 W Main, Manchester). Marlin Whitaker returned from last season to call, while Brad Battey, Judy Morningstar & Bob Hubbach provided the music

This year the Manchester Wellness Coalition selected Dance, Manchester! as their choice for volunteer recognition at this year’s Community Resources Coalition’s Volunteer Recognition Banquet, November 4. Eileen Parker, Patty Swaney and Jeannie Armstrong appreciate the acknowledgment of their team effort to set up these monthly dances last year and this season, the second Saturday, October -April, for everyone in the community.
