Christmas in Village 2016 lighted parade

Friday night, shortly before the parade set off from Emanuel's parking lot, parade organizer Denise Collins presented ribbons and prize money to the winning floats on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce. In the business category, 3rd place was awarded to the Jackson Area Tractor Club, 2nd place was awarded to the Lion's Club and 1st place was awarded to Exhale Yoga. In the Kids' category, the Manchester Co-op Preschool was awarded 3rd place and $50, the Manchester Early Childhood Center was awarded 2nd place and $75, and SRSLY Manchester won 1st place and $125. The parade then wound down Macomb Street to Main Street, stopping at the Mill on Adrian Street, where Santa Claus was presented a key to the Village and he and Mrs. Claus spoke to each child about what they want for Christmas and gave them a candy cane.
