Photo: Bike to School Day a HUGE success
About 140 participants in last Wednesday’s National Bike to School Day included bikers, walkers, parents, grandparents, village staff and council members, Klager teachers and staff, and Sgt. Paul Cook on his bicycle. We also had a representative from the Michigan Fitness Foundation in attendance and many kids received bicycle bells as an added incentive! The group was led into school by principal Jennifer Mayes. This week, several of our walkers will celebrate their 40th day of walking and/or biking to school since January. This great program continues to grow under the leadership of Klager teacher Kathy O’Mara.
