The Manchester community, like so many others across the state and the nation, has been struck by the opioid/heroin epidemic. As our kids prepare to go back to school this fall, Emanuel United Church of Christ (324 E. Main Street) invites the community to attend a special worship service on Sunday, August 19, at 9:30 am.

This Prayer and Worship Service is intended for families, adults, children and teens, and features speaker Mr. Steve Manza. Steve Manza is an addiction counselor and therapist with Growth Works in Wayne County and the Washtenaw County Children's Services Youth Addiction program.

Mr. Manza has worked with the Rev. Eugene Blair, interim pastor at Emanuel UCC, in youth counseling for a number of years. He will speak during the service and offer an opportunity for questions, answers, and prayers.

For further information, please contact the Emanuel UCC office at 734-428-8359.
