Have you noticed the scarecrows decorating downtown? They were made by community members two Thursdays ago at the The Manchester Farmers Market, as part of a scarecrow contest! Fourteen scarecrows were made in total. Many of them were made by families and some were made by individuals.

Some of the clothes were donated and some were purchased used. The straw was purchased left over from the Farm to Table dinner.

The judges had a difficult time selecting winners. Every scarecrow got at least one vote and there was only one vote difference between 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorary Mention!

Scarecrow #7 won 1st place winning a $10 certificate for River Raisin Antiques and a $15 certificate for The Manchester Farmers Market.

Scarecrow #8 won 2nd place winning a $5 certificate for River Raisin Antiques and a $10 certificate for The Manchester Farmers Market.

Scarecrow #12 won 3rd place winning a $5 certificate for River Raisin Antiques and $5 certificate for The Manchester Farmers Market

Scarecrows 2,6,9,10, and 11 all won honorary mentions winning $5 certificates for The Manchester Farmers Market.
