With all of the attention on the national and state level candidates on the ballot in November, you may not be aware that in addition to other local races, Manchester has three seats on the Manchester Community Schools board of education up for election, with four candidates running. Current school board members Mike Austin, Rebecca Harvey will be seeking re-election, and current school board member Kim Blumenstein, who was appointed to fill a vacancy will be seeking to retain her seat. Also running for a seat is Michael Tindall.

All four candidates have agreed to participate in a public forum which will be held on Monday, October 29 from 7 to 8:30 pm, in the Media Center of Riverside Intermediate School, located at 710 East Main Street. Members of the public who attend will have to opportunity to have their questions answered during the forum. The forum is being sponsored by the Manchester Ladies Society with the approval of Manchester Community Schools.
