Join us for an informative evening of earning and asking questions about teen suicide, Tuesday, October 30, from 7 to 9 pm at the Sharon United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 19890 W. Pleasant Lake Road (corner M52 & Pleasant Lake Roads). The evening's presenter, Rev. Aaron Kesson, will lead a guided discussion about the many issues surrounding teen suicide:

--Are there “warning signs” that parents and other caring adults can look for?

--What can other teens do if their friend is in trouble?

--What responses are most helpful?

Aaron, a former pastor at Manchester United Methodist Church, is currently serving as lead pastor at Durand United Methodist Church an as associate pastor at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Aaron has experience working with adjudicated youth and their families in Lenawee County as a family and aftercare counselor at the Maurice Spear Campus. In addition, he has experience as a mental health professional in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Aaron has received extensive suicide prevention and intervention training through his service as a Chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserve.

There will be light refreshments and plenty of time for questions and answers. For more information or questions please contact Sharon UMC at sharonumchurch@gmail.com or by calling (734)428-0996.
