The Manchester Farmers Market may be done for the season, but this fall, market manager Laura Wohlgemuth collected Farmers Market attendees’ favorite holiday recipes!

RUTABAGA FRIES

One rutabaga
1 Tbsp melted butter
1 Tbsp honey
1/8 tsp pepper
salt to taste

Cut rutabaga into strips like French fries, and put in a large bowl. Melt butter and honey, season with pepper and salt. Toss with rutabaga strips until evenly covered. Bake in a single layer on a baking sheet at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until browned at the edges. Chef’s notes: “I have a recipe I use every year–simple but easy and flexible. Can also be used with other root vegetables like turnips and beets.”
