Help teachers clean-up I-94

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

Manchester teachers have adopted a stretch of highway and welcome volunteers to help with their next clean-up day, Saturday, September 21, starting at 8 am. All Manchester Schools employees, families, friends, and high school NHS students are welcome to volunteer.

They’ve adopted the east and west bound 2 mile stretch of I-94 between Fletcher and Dancer roads. Participants will meet at the I-94 west bound rest area and break off from there. It should take an hour or two. The more people that volunteer, the faster it will go!

Contact Manchester teacher Brett Whalen at bwhalen@mcs.k12.mi.us if you have any questions or you would like to sign up to volunteer. You must be signed-up to participate! Volunteers will be provided with a MDOT yellow/green reflective safety vest but need to bring their own work gloves.
