O suns and skies and clouds of June,
And flowers of June together,
Ye cannot rival for one hour
October’s bright blue weather …

This past weekend’s warmer weather and bright blue skies encouraged people to get out, walk, run, and revel in a couple of Indian Summer days. Enjoy this look back at the “bright blue weather” that we all enjoyed.

Amazing cloud patterns on Saturday along M-52 just south of the village.

A dry summer made bright red maple trees more of a rarity this fall. All the more pleasure to find some along City Road.

“Peak” color may not have reached the banks of the River Raisin yet, but spectacular fall colors are definitely visible from the Main Street bridge and the new boardwalk.

These stately maples have graced the lawn at the Ackerson building on City Road for many years.

An oak adds a splash of bright color to the landscape of the village on Furnace Street.

A tree laden with crabapples on Division Street contrasts with the autumn sky.

Curious deer darkening to their fall coloring, seen near Riverside School on Main Street.
