Broadband coverage in Washtenaw County, from Final Report Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners Broadband Equity Sub-Committee, November 29, 2018

submitted by Lisa Moutinho, Washtenaw County Government

In early February, the Washtenaw County Broadband Task Force sent Broadband Access surveys to the residents of 15 townships in the county, including Bridgewater, Freedom, Manchester and Sharon. If you’ve received and completed your survey, the Task Force thanks you – the information you provide will help the group to identify the levels of coverage that exist in our community, and then use that information for federal grant applications that could bring broadband access to all residents of the county.

If you live in one of these rural townships and haven’t completed your survey, or you didn’t receive one, there’s still time. Go to www.washtenawbroadband.org and click the ‘Take Survey’ box. It will take about 5 minutes and will help the Broadband Task Force with its goal of countywide broadband access by 2022.

If you have questions about the survey or the work of the task force, you may contact Lisa Moutinho at moutinhl@washtenaw.org or 734-222-6731.
