Notice to Bidders
Manchester Community Schools New Agricultural Building
Sealed proposals will be received at the Manchester Community Schools - Riverside Intermediate School, 710 E Main Street, Manchester, MI. 48158 until Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 7:30 am for a general contractor to build a new agricultural building. Bids will be accepted for the entire package (excavation, concrete, building materials, labor, and electrical). Please itemize each portion of your bid proposal. If you are bidding as a subcontractor, please bid the portion that pertains to you.
The bidder must include with the bid a Certificate of Liability Insurance.
Bids are to be sealed and addressed to Kendra Leib, Manchester Community Schools, 710 E. Main Street, Manchester, MI 48158 and plainly marked on the outside “A Bid for Manchester Community Schools – New Agricultural Building”.

The Manchester Community Schools reserves the right to waive informalities to accept or reject any and all bids, or parts of any and all bids.

Two Commercial Garage Door – 12 ft. x 11 ft. (no windows) with openers
Two utility doors – 3 ft
Wood Trusses (4/12 pitch 2 ft oc)
6 x 6 Treated Eave Posts (8 ft oc)
6 x 6 Treated Gable Posts (10 ft oc)
2 x 6 Treated Skirt Boards (3 rows)
2 x 4 Wall Girts (24 inch oc)
2 x 12 Double Top Girt Truss Carrier
Plywood – 5/8” CDX – on roof
12 inch overhang on all sides Alum. Soffit
Place grade & compact approx. 120 tons of C2 Fill sand to proper subgrade
Poured concrete floor
Finish grade of topsoil around perimeter of building near completion
Concrete – 1 bag mix per post hole
