COVID-19 open/closures/cancelations list for the Manchester area - UPDATED DAILY

Open:

  • Comerica Bank in Manchester currently has its doors locked but is open normal business hours and can allow people in by appointment only for essential business. They also have their ATM and Night Depository and nearby locations with a drive thru for your convenience.
  • Many Manchester restaurants are open for carryout and/or delivery. For more information read this article.
  • Manchester True Value Hardware is open and operating under normal hours. They offer curbside pick-up. 
  • Manchester Marathon is open but operating under reduced hours: Monday through Sunday 6:30am to 9:30am
  • Fredonia Grocery is open but only through walk up window service. You may call ahead to have order ready 734-428-8960. They are open Mon-Sat: 10am-6pm and Sun: noon-5pm.
  • Manchester Family Medicine is open and in addition to patients is seeing non-patients for minor illnesses and injuries in order to keep people out of  emergency rooms and urgent cares and to free them up for Covid-19 care and evaluations. They will be spreading out appointments to avoid contact between patients. Call first: 428-8381. They will work with your insurance company and provide a summary of care for your regular provider. Home based care for home-bound elderly or suppressed is an option. They are NOT set up to test for COVID-19 and will refer you elsewhere after phone screening if necessary. Questions?   • The Manchester Community Resource Center remains open but are operating on a “by appointment only” basis. This means you will have to call the office at 734-428-7722 or text 734-433-6707 or email info@manchestercrc.org to schedule a time to pick up groceries from the food pantry, Weekend Kid Meal bags, drop off documents for MIBridges applications/redeterminations or VITA tax preparation, or interact with CRC staff. They will not be giving out wooden nickels (to be used at the Farmers Market) until further notice.
  • Manchester Veterinary Clinic is open and operating under 1) limited hours 2) curbside services. Please call to have medications refilled and to schedule essential appointments, 734-428-7100.
  • River Raisin Antiques is mandated to close for in-store shoppers. She now offers curbside pickup and free delivery for those in the village. Customers can call 734-649-2993
  • Manchester's Old National Bank is open by appointment only. Drive-thru windows will remain open at other Old National branches.
  • The lobby of American 1 Credit Union is closed to the general public and available by appointment only. The drive-thrus will continue to operate.
  • Manchester Village Offices will remain open but efforts are being made to limit in person contact. A drop box has been installed at the main entrance for dropping off payments. Use of the website and email for conducting Village business is encouraged. The Village meeting rooms are closed to public meetings. Only Village Council and Village Planning Commission will meet during this time. Call 734-428-7877 for any further information.

Closed:

  • The Village of Manchester parks pavilions and play structures are closed until further notice. They also will not be accepting parks reservation applications at this time.
  • The Manchester Wellness Center is closed. April dues will not be charged to any wellness center members. May dues will also be pro-rated if the closure exceeds current projections.
  • The Manchester Township offices are closed for walk in business. The Clerk, Treasurer, Assessor, and Zoning inspector will still be in the office but will be handling all inquiries via phone or email. From the Township: "To anyone in the Township - village or rural constituents - if you need anything during these difficult times, please do not hesitate to call the Township Hall at 734.428.7090. Your elected officials will do everything in their power to get you the assistance you need. It can be as simple as a ride to an appointment, arranging for groceries or assistance with referrals to deal with financial hardships. Your Township board members are fully committed to helping you get through this difficult time."
  • Edward Jones has made the decision to suspend all in-person meetings and visits with the public to reduce the risks to our associates, clients and communities. Jody Flowers is still available for phone appointments
  • Manchester Eye Care Center is closed indefinitely and available for only emergency eye concerns. If you feel you have an ocular emergency and wish to speak with Dr. Manders, she can be reached at 734-260-5160. They will be addressing concerns regarding orders or repairs of glasses or contacts with limited staff for the remainder of this week or you can contact manchestereyecarecenter@gmail.com for assistance.
  • Following Dental Association recommendations, LaRock Dental will be closed for the time being. Adiska Dental is closed until further notice. They will both be available for dental emergencies.
  • Worth Repeating is closed.
  • The Manchester District Library is closed due to the Governor's Office Executive Order No. 2020-20. Their drop boxes will emptied daily. Items will be fine free until they reopen. If you have questions or concerns, please contact kdimond@manchesterlibrary.info. During the time that the library is closed, resources are still available for patrons and members of the community. These include: ebooks, audio books, and video through Overdrive (library card number and PIN required). Patrons who need assistance with this service can email qgallinat@manchesterlibrary.info for support. Virtual storytimes with Miss Stacia on the MDL Facebook page, and Public wi-fi can be accessed outside the library building. For more information visit their website.
  • All non-essential County operations are closed.
  • The MAHS Museum and Blacksmith Shop are closed.
  • ERA Reardon Realty office is closed; all realtors are still available by phone.
  • Manchester Community Schools are closed.

Canceled:

  • All in-person church services have been canceled. Many local churches are holding services online or reaching out to parishioners in person. For specific information on each church, click here.
  • The Winter Farmers Market is canceled for the next few weeks but is planning to reopen May 7th.
  • The St. Mary's Fish Fries are canceled for the rest 2020. They will return in 2021.
  • All MASCC senior activities, including Tuesday & Thursday luncheons, have been canceled until further notice.
  • Community Resource Center Social Hours scheduled for May 12, and June have been canceled
  • Winter/Spring term Chelsea Adult Learners Institute classes have been canceled
  • All school and sports events are canceled

County wide, State wide and other updates:

  • The need for Recreation Passport for entry to state parks and recreation area has been suspended, including Watkins Lake State Park and County Preserve.
  • Area nursing homes are establishing protocol for visiting the elderly in care. Most local residences are setting "limited" or "restricted" visitation policies. Please check with your loved one's specific residence for updates.
