Letter to the Editor: Coat donations heartwarming

Hello everyone,
We want to let everyone know that we are picking up the coat rack from the Mill today. The coats and the rack will be in storage until the fall. If anyone needs a coat before that time, please contact us via our Facebook page @davidscoatroom or email at

We want to also take this time to thank the community of Manchester. The coat rack at the Mill became self sufficient within a month of its placement. We would check on the rack and find that, coats we had supplied had been taken and different coats donated in their place. We started the rack with 18 different coats. At one point the rack had 35 coats, snowpants and gloves, all donated. Seeing this transformation, was amazingly heart warming.
