Temporary Virtual Meetings

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP
COUNTY OF WASHTENAW, MICHIGAN

At a regular meeting of the Township of Manchester, County of Washtenaw, State of Michigan, held in said Township on the 14th day of April 2020, there were:

PRESENT:  DeRossett, Carey, Moutinho, Milkey, Seefeld, Fusilier, Proctor

ABSENT:   

The following resolution was offered by Milkey and seconded by Seefeld:

WHEREAS, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, on March 15th, 2020, issued Executive Order No. 2020-15 allowing local governments to have meetings through remote access technology; and,

WHEREAS, the Township of Manchester has determined that they will continue to meet by means of conference calling until such time as this Executive Order expires; and,

WHEREAS, per the Executive Order, any means of remote access technology used for meetings must provide for public attendance and public input at appropriate times.

NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that the Township of Manchester will publish the local calling number and access codes for all meetings held by these means on its website, notice boards, and the local newspaper.

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the public will be instructed that to attend virtual meetings, it is necessary to call the local phone number at the meeting time, and enter the access code. Public comment may be made when the Township Supervisor announces the “Public Participation” portion of the meeting.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and complete copy of a resolution adopted by the Township of Manchester, County of Washtenaw, and State of Michigan, at a meeting held on April 14th, 2020, the original of which is on file in my office and available to the public.  Public notice of said meeting was given pursuant to and in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1976, including in the case of a special or rescheduled meeting, notice by posting at least eighteen (18) hours prior to the time set for said meeting.
