Good Day Manchester,

In the past weeks I have been amazed by the resiliency of our youth in Manchester. I can only imagine the urge they all have to be together on the field, stage, track, even classroom together. This is from our outstanding senior class this year through to the preschoolers. As a varsity coach and being involved in youth sports, I know this is hard for everyone but I believe our youth's commitment to following a very odd set of standards and acceptance of the situation is highly admirable.

I believe this is a direct result of the great leadership and communication of our district and our parents. Without a playbook to follow, everyone's patience and commitment to students is impressive to say the least. From our school board, administration, teachers, and probably most impressive our district kitchen staff; an extremely difficult time has become manageable.

Hopefully we can all meet on the fields again this summer, it will be a welcome sight. I know the kids and our volunteer coaches are chomping at the bit to get rolling. I am hopeful we can get T-ball, Machine Pitch Baseball, and Rec Soccer off the ground sometime in June if we keep making progress with this situation.

Again, kids, keep it up. Myself and many others are extremely proud of you.

GO DUTCH,

Dan Budd
