Enjoy a delicious ear of fresh corn on the cob ... along with corn muffins and great music ... on Saturday from noon to 2 pm at Acorn Farmers' Market & Café

This letter is written to the community on behalf of the Acorn Farmers Market & Café, by board member Laura Wohlgemuth. It is part of a series of articles submitted by the Acorn Board of Directors, to promote the Patronicity drive supporting this new market in Manchester. As of Monday morning, the drive has $36,988 pledged toward its $50,000 goal (almost 74%).

The Corn Roast at Acorn Farmers’ Market is coming this Saturday, September 5, from noon-2 pm! Acorn Farmers’ Market is partnering with the Manchester Men’s Club and the Riverfolk Music and Arts Organization to bring you a fun event complete with LIVE music!

Come get your free, fresh, local corn on the cob roasted by the awesome volunteers from the Manchester Men’s Club while you listen to the sweet sounds of Westbound Situation Trio performing live at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café this Saturday, September 5, noon-2 pm. In addition to fresh corn and music, Keegan from The Lakehouse Bakery, one of our vendors, has offered to make corn muffins, which also will be provided during the corn roast. We have great vendors!

Also, this coming Saturday will mark a change for Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café as they open their doors on a limited basis for patrons to shop. After many customers have requested to be able to shop inside, while others wanted to maintain the curbside pickup format, the Farmers’ Market is offering a hybrid model. Thursdays and Fridays from 3-6 pm will continue to be curbside only, but on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm, customers can shop either inside or at the curb. Current regulations stipulate that only two customers can be inside the store at a time; masks are, of course, mandatory.

Inside shoppers can come to the east door; the west door remains open for order pickup only.

This will be the last Saturday of our Patronicity Campaign. We appreciate the generosity of those who have already given and ask anyone who is able, to please give to help us reach our goal. We must reach the full $50,000 to receive the matching funds. Please help us achieve the matching funds needed through the Patronicity Campaign and further our journeys to healthy lives and happy hearts. Donations will be accepted at the Corn Roast.
