NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE

STATE GENERAL ELECTION

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2020

BRIDGEWATER, FREEDOM, MANCHESTER AND SHARON TOWNSHIPS, MICHIGAN

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF BRIDGEWATER, FREEDOM, MANCHESTER AND SHARON TOWNSHIPS:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Bridgewater, Freedom, Manchester and Sharon Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at your corresponding office of the Township Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com.

The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is October 19, 2020.

After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency at your corresponding clerk’s office. (MCL 168.492) Bridgewater, Freedom, Manchester, and Sharon Township Clerk’s office locations are as follows:

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

Allow money from oil and gas mining on state-owned lands to continue to be collected in state funds for land protection and creation and maintenance of parks, nature areas, and public recreation facilities; and to describe how money in those state funds can be spent

Require a search warrant in order to access a person’s electronic data or electronic communications

WASHTENAW COUNTY:

MILLAGE RENEWAL AND RESTORATION

Proposition to authorize the renewal and restoration of a 0.25-mill for the purpose of purchasing natural areas in order to preserve them, paying the costs of operating a land preservation program and paying the costs of maintaining the land purchased

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP

FIRE MILLAGE

Proposal to impose an increase of up to 0.5 mills and levy it for four years, to maintain the township’s contracted fire services

CLINTON COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL

Proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance and renews millage that will expire with the 2020 tax levy

CHELSEA SCHOOL DISTRICT

OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL

Proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance and renews millage that will expire with the 2020 tax levy
