We reported last week that Christmas in the Village will be downsized this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic but that a Manchester Resident Lighting Contest will be held and St. Thomas which usually holds a German Bake Sale at Freedom Township Hall during Christmas in the Village is planning to go ahead with their bake sale on Saturday, December 5th, the first Saturday in December, the day Christmas in the Village has been held on in recent years.

Additionally for December 5th, a drive-through Santa Visit has been scheduled from 1pm to 3pm in Emanuel Church's parking lot during which children can visit with Santa from the safety of their car. A Virtual Story Time with Mrs. Claus has been scheduled at 11 am. She will be reading Frosty the Snowman via Zoom on http://bit.ly/MrsClausReading. A Frosty Maze has been scheduled for 10 am to 5 pm, starting in Wurster Park; follow Frosty clues around Manchester. A vehicle is required.

The Christmas Home Tour, which has been held on the same day as Christmas in the Village in recent years, has been canceled for 2020.
