Second free food giveaway set at Sharon UMC

On Saturday, March 13, the Sharon United Methodist Church parking lot will be the location of the church's second Free Food Box Giveaway. This free distribution of food boxes containing fresh vegetables, fruit, dairy, and pre-cooked meat will begin at 10 am and continue until all boxes have been distributed. The first food box giveaway in December 2020 saw more than 240 vehicles, as they distributed 40,000 pounds of food.

"We are so grateful to be working with another nonprofit organization, Hope and Encouragement for Humanity, to distribute another 40,000 pounds of food," said Rev. Pete Harris, pastor of Sharon UMC.

Please enter via the driveway on Pleasant Lake Road and exit on to M-52.
