As the year-plus long pandemic concerns are easing and more people are able to get immunizations, everyone is eager to get outside and resume some "normal" summer activities.

One of Manchester's long-running summer staples, of course, has been the weekly Gazebo Concert series. Since 1989, these concerts have been a Thursday night summer event that brings many people into the community, as well as bringing community members together.

Some new adaptations to conform to COVID restrictions will include a "rain date" for most concerts rather than moving them indoors, and maintaining social distancing between groups of concert-goers.

There will be a total of nine concerts this summer, scheduled in June, July, and August, with performers still being sought for some of the dates ... however, Riverfolk Music & Arts Organization is happy to be able to announce the first three events will be on June 10, featuring perennial family favorites Gemini; June 17 they will welcome Peter Madcat Ruth and the CARMa Quartet; and June 24, Matt Watroba and Robert Brown will entertain Manchester audiences. Five more Thursday nights will be celebrated in July, with the series concluding on August 5. Concerts begin at 7:30 pm and end around dusk.

Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy an evening (or seven or eight or nine!) at the Manchester Gazebo on the village square (Wurster Park) and enjoy a variety of summer concerts that will make up for last year's lost time.
