In addition to using the Manchester District Library, Manchester and Bridgewater Township residents can get a library card for free to check out materials from the Clinton Township Library. Additionally, Manchester and Bridgewater residents are welcome to attend all library events at the Clinton Township Library. The Clinton Township Library is located at 100 Brown St. in Clinton. Spring has sprung at last! And you can be sure the Clinton Township Public Library staff has been busy planning some great programs and services for residents of all ages! For those who haven’t paid us a visit since the shut-down, YES, we are open to the public! Bring your mask and your reading wish list and browse to your heart’s delight. We have a lot of new books just waiting for you to take home!

Also, we have public computers available for use, as well as printing, copying, and faxing services, and small in-person library gatherings are permitted (social distancing and masks are required). Lastly, we are proud to offer FREE 1-on-1 virtual tutoring for library card holders of all ages! Tutoring services range from elementary math to SAT test prep and more! April’s themes include Poetry Month and Earth Day. Activities include:

Library Easter Egg Hunt—Enjoy this fun and easy activity all month long in our library during regular library hours.

Kits-to-go – This month’s to-go craft kits include a STEM mystery challenge and Earth Day science kit. Pick them up at our Activity Table during regular library hours.

T-Shirt Design Contest –Have you ever dreamed of wearing your masterpiece? Now’s your chance! Create your dream design and enter for a chance to win a t-shirt printed with it. Deadline: May 1st.

Earth Day Green-Up Challenge—Take the challenge, do some fun “green” activities, and help our “plant” grow! Get more details at the library or on our Facebook page.

In-library story times—By appointment only. Wednesdays and Thursdays. The registration form can be accessed from the library’s Home page.

Quilt block of the month--Learn how to make this month’s quilt block on YouTube.

Book clubs—Adult Book Club (in-library) Apr 8 at 1pm; “Pizza and Books” for adults (virtual) Apr 8 at 7:30pm; 1-4 grades (virtual) Apr 12 at 4pm; K-1 grade meets on Apr 26 (in-library) at 4pm.

Poetry Month Activities—flex your poetry muscles, craft your masterpiece, and contribute to our Poe-Tree display. Or have fun with online MadLib-style poetry generators. Each week, a new poetry-generator will go live. Look for the links on our website and/or Facebook page!
