WCRC: Chip seal and limestone resurfacing this week

Washtenaw County Road Commission will be performing limestone resurfacing and preventative maintenance chip seal this week in the Manchester Area.

Starting Monday, May 10, Herman Rd between Watkins Rd and Sharon Hollow Rd in Manchester Township will be closed for preventative maintenance – chip seal. The road improvements are expected to take approximately two days. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions. Additionally in Manchester and Bridgewater Townships, as well as Saline Township, there will be daytime road closures of Austin Rd between M-52 and City of Saline for chip seal preventative maintenance. Once the roads are back open, drivers are advised to lower their speeds to 35 mph while the stone settles. WCRC will return to this area in a few weeks to apply a fog seal on top of the chip seal and place permanent pavement markings.

Parker Road between Austin Road and Weber Road in Bridgewater and Freedom Townships as well as Lodi and Saline Townships will have daytime road closures this week for limestone resurfacing.
