St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea and SRSLY Coalitions announced last week that they are hosting Pedal for Prevention, a virtual fitness event. Pedal for Prevention is open to bikers, walkers, and runners, and will take place between July 16 and August 13 at one of four local trails located in the Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester and Stockbridge communities.

Trails to choose from include the 5.2 mile Stockbridge Lakeland Trail (starting at the Stockbridge trail head to the Munith trail head), the 2.1 mile (4.2 miles round trip) Chelsea-Stockbridge Connection (beginning at the Green Lake Campground and extending to North Territorial Road), the 3 mile paved bike loop of the Dexter Hudson Mills Metro Park, or the 3.8 mile trail in Manchester's Sharon Mills County Park.

Register by following the link online at https://www.srslymanchester.org/events/pedal-for-prevention/.

Registration is $30 and includes a t-shirt and medal. The registration deadline is July 12. Once you’ve registered, submit a photo of yourself on a trail to info@srslymanchester.org to be entered into a drawing!

The event will encourage healthy outdoor activity and help raise funds to support SRSLY, a local youth substance prevention coalition with a presence in Manchester and the other communities.
