Social District ... NOT YET!!

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

Last Thursday, the village was full of people attending 3rd Thursday and the Gazebo Concert, and ...full of people openly carrying alcoholic drinks?

Village council president, Patricia Vailliencourt explained that Thursday some attendees assumed that the Social District being approved meant that it had started. It has NOT.

She stated, "I have made all distributors aware and they will be extremely clear to buyers [going forward] the difference between getting a "to go" drink to be consumed in a home versus a " social district" drink that is to be consumed in the commons area NOT on private property."

The Social District will begin once the official boundary signs are up. They are currently at the printers being printed. Vailliencourt concluded, "People are very excited for this to begin but we cannot officially start until the boundary signs are up."
