Noteworthy events in Manchester Village during last month include:

On May 6: A collaboration deputy's personal vehicle was damaged while in the parking lot at 912 City Road. An unknown white substance was thrown on the vehicle and later discovered when the deputy finished his shift. The substance caused the paint on the vehicle to peel off in several places, resulting in permanent damage. It is unknown when the incident specifically occurred, and there are no suspects.

On May 8: Collaboration deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of City Road for a report of Malicious Destruction of Property. Rocks were thrown through the building's windows. Three juvenile suspects were located — two Manchester village residents and one Chelsea resident — resulting in charges being forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review.

On May 13: Collaboration deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Main Street for a report of two separate arsons. The suspect, later positively identified, entered two separate businesses, and set fire to trash within the common area of the buildings. No significant damage was reported; however, charges for two counts of arson have been forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review.

On May 14: A collaboration deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Washington for a report of identity theft. The victim reported that an unknown suspect was able to create a fictitious Comcast account in their name resulting in $488 of fraudulent charges that billed in their name. The victim does not know who created the account and there is no suspect information at this time.

On May 23: A collaboration deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Hibbard St. and E.Main for a report of a traffic accident where the driver was seen leaving the scene on foot. Upon arriving, the deputy was able to obtain a description of the suspect and a short while later, located him still walking away from the scene. The suspect was ultimately arrested for driving under the influence of methamphetamines and marijuana.

There were four ordinance violations investigated: 300 Block of West Main and 200 Block of Beaufort — Grass; violation letters sent. 400 Block of City road and 200 Block of S. Washington — Vehicle; violation letters sent.
