Greetings, Acorn shoppers and Outdoor Market attendees!

Thursday kicks off our Celebrate Art Month at the Acorn Outdoor Market, held every week from 3-6:30 pm at 455 W. Main Street (outside of the new Manchester Market site). Mark your calendars and don't miss registering for the events you'd like to attend.

Thursday, July 1, 3-6:30 pm: We're going to host a 4th of July garland crafting event — great for decorating porches for the holiday! We'll also have SRSLY swag for free for everyone to take

Thursday, July 8, 3-6:30 pm: Amy of Clever Creations will be hosting a DIY Clay Ladybug on Leaf workshop presented in two sessions, 3 and 5 pm. The cost is $12 for two sweet ladybugs; each class is limited to 15 participants and proceeds go to Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café. Preregister at farmersmarket48158@gmail.com

In addition, A Perfect Picnic Class, from 5:30-6:30 pm, will be taught by Keegan from The Lakehouse Bakery. Preregister at farmersmarket48158@gmail.com

Thursday, July 15, 3-6:30 pm: Come create your masterpiece in a Chalk Art Contest and enter to win Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café gift cards! We will award both children and adult categories. SRSLY is also putting on virtual fundraising fitness events this summer. Come pick up your registration bags as well.

Thursday, July 22, 3-6:30 pm: Wool Dryer Balls Workshop from 3-4:30 pm, $5 each ball; all proceeds go back to Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café. Wool dryer balls are a eco-friendly alternative to single-use dryer sheets. Pre-register at farmersmarket48158@gmail.com

Also, songwriter, independent recording artist, spokesmodel, voice actress, and 2019 DBMA Jazz Singer of the Year, Stacey Murray Soul Songstress will perform live at Acorn’s Outdoor Market from 4:30-6:30 pm!  It will be a nice primer for the gazebo concert in Wurster Park.

Thursday, July 29, 3-6:30 pm: We end the month of Celebrate Art with the Manchester Art Fair, with free booths for all artists and crafters! Email farmersmarket48158@gmail.com if you’d like to participate. Joy Matthews will be hosting a DIY Fruit Stamped Tea Towel Workshop from 3-7 pm. The cost is $5 per towel; all proceeds go back to Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café.

Come celebrate the arts with us this summer, and maybe bring some of your own to share!

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
