Last week Washtenaw County announced that they are gathering resident input on how to use the $71 million the county will receive through the American Rescue Plan’s Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery program.

The Board of Commissioners has released a list of potential projects as part of the upcoming Washtenaw County Rescue Plan. They now want your feedback to ensure the Rescue Plan will help residents and local businesses recover from the pandemic and build a more equitable community moving forward.

One of the methods of gathering resident input is through town halls. Shannon Beeman, Commissioner for District 3 which includes Manchester, will be holding an in-person town hall for this purpose on Thursday, July 22 6 to 8 pm Freedom Township Hall.

Join Commissioner Beeman as she talks about potential investments related to infrastructure, county services, good government, and more.

Can’t make it to the meeting in Freedom Township? Commissioner Beeman will be holding an in-person/virtual town hall at Saline City Hall for the same purpose on Tuesday, July 27 from 6pm to 8pm. This second town hall can be participated in virtually via FB Live that evening.

Can’t make it to either town hall? Complete the survey on this topic, accessible from the Washtenaw County Rescue Plan website listed above.
