Loren W. Blumenauer, March 26, 1948 - August 13, 2021.

Loren W. Blumenauer, 73, passed away August 13, 2021. Loren’s family and friends will gather Friday, August 20, 2021 from 10 – 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, (3050 South Fletcher Rd. Chelsea, MI 48118). His funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kurt Hutchens will serve as celebrant. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

He was born on March 26, 1948, in Saline, MI to Walter and Elsie (Loeffler) Blumenauer. Loren spent many years as a farmer before beginning a career as a machine builder. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his leisure time.

Loren will be missed by; his children, Robert (Lisa) Blumenauer of Manchester, MI; Teri (Keith) De Zwaan of Manchester, MI; Richard Blumenauer of Saline, MI; siblings, Mark Blumenauer (Rachel Bross) of Manchester, MI; Alice (Jerry) Merritt of Tecumseh, MI; and Joyce Lockhart of Bonita Springs, Florida; and grandchildren Kurtis and Katelyn Blumenauer and Patrick and Sarah De Zwaan. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Ann Blumenauer; a brother-in-law Roy Lockhart; two sisters-in-law Shirley Blumenauer and Margie Blumenauer and a grandson, Jeffrey De Zwaan.
