Obituary: Mary Jean Brady

Mary Jean Brady (August 2, 1951 - August 10, 2021)

Mary Jean Brady, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2021, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Mary is survived by her daughter Dawn (Denny) Steele, of Manchester and her grandchildren Noah and Mia Steele. She is also survived by her siblings Marcia (Robert) Bunney of Manchester, Michigan; Marlene Loyd of Saline, Michigan and Malinda Hudkins of Holt, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Ella Lavon Hudkins of Manchester, Michigan; her sister Margaret McCann of Leslie, Michigan; her sister Maxine Alexa of Tustin, Michigan and her sister Madelyn Hudkins of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Mary was born on August 2, 1951 in Stockbridge, Michigan. She worked many years for and retired from the University of Michigan Health Systems. She also worked part time at the Village Tap and McGlynn’s. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved to attend and cheer on her grandchildren in all the various sports they participated in. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and her beloved cat Midnight.

A celebration of life for Mary will be celebrated on Saturday, September 18, 3:00-5:00 p.m. at her daughter and son-in-law’s home, 507 Granger Street, Manchester, Michigan. Anyone that would like to support the family in celebrating Mary are welcome to attend. Donations can be made to local Humane Society or the Dutchmen Firefighters Association.
