Underclass Students of the Month announced for September

In order to promote and acknowledge a positive school environment, the Manchester Junior/Senior High School staff are honoring a student in each grade this year. Recipients will be voted on by the entire junior/senior high school staff.

The criteria for the award will be the same as it is for the senior Students of the Month, who will be recognized separately:

For promoting a good way of life;
For working and getting along with people;
For working up to your capacity;
For inspiring respect for adults, peer groups, and people in authority;
For promoting good citizenship;
For promoting self-control, ambition, responsibility, and self-reliance;
For having desirable leadership;
For promoting friendship and being personable;
For aiding and encouraging the development of others with whom you are associated.

"At the end of the year, we will honor all of our Students of the Month at awards night," said Junior/Senior High School Counselor Hollie Kolcz. Senior awardees will also be eligible to apply for the $1,000 Student of the Month scholarship at the end of the school year.
