Cora Iwanicki — January 22, 1924 - October 25, 2020

Cora Pauline Iwanicki, age 96, of Clinton died Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home. She was born January 22, 1924 in Bridgewater Township, the daughter of the late Edward and Helena (Reinold) Dayss. On December 1, 1945 she married Thomas V. Iwanicki, and they shared 46 years together before his passing on April 4, 1992.

Cora was a member of the Clinton United Church of Christ. She owned her own beauty salon at her home from 1958-1986, when she retired. Cora loved gardening and taking care of her house plants. From 1958-2019 she was the captain and scorekeeper of her bowling team. She enjoyed traveling with senior groups and going to the casino. Her greatest love came from spending time with her family.

Cora is survived by a son, Mark (Randy) Iwanicki of Clinton; two grandsons, Scott (Desirae) Iwanicki of Clinton and Ryan (Courtney) Iwanicki of Clinton; three great grandchildren, Reese, Emma, and Madison. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin, four brothers, and four sisters.

A celebration of life for Cora will take place at 11 am Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Clinton United Church of Christ with Pastor Diane White officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of the service at church. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton United Church of Christ and Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements are under the care of the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Home.
