WCSO: September 2021 report of police activity in the Village

During the month of September there were 148 calls for service. During this time, 68 traffic stops were made, resulting in five citations.

Noteworthy events in Manchester Village during the month include:

On September 22, a collaboration deputy responded to the 100 block of Clinton Street for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, members of the Manchester Fire Department discovered a construction worker had accidentally lit a portion of the the building on fire with a torch. No structure damage was reported and the building was cleared for smoke.

On September 23, a collaboration deputy responded to the 500 block of W. Main for a violation of a court order. A subject arrived in the area when they were told not to by the courts. This resulted in a substantial search for the subject, ultimately locating and arresting him.

A total of six ordinance violations were investigated during the month. Three residences were tagged for overgrown grass; two for unlicensed vehicles; and one for blight. Five of the violations were given verbal warnings or red tags and the violations were subsequently corrected. One vehicle violation was sent a letter but no resolution was reported.
