NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS

During their regular October meeting, the Bridgewater Township Board of Trustees adopted Ordinances No. 67-5 and 67-6, by authority of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (Public Act 110 of 2006, MCL 125.3101 et. seq., as amended), to amend articles 2.0 (Zoning Districts), 3.0 (Dimensional Standards), 4.0 (Land Use Table), and 5.0 (Use Standards), 11.0 (Special Development Procedures), and 19.0 (Definitions) of Zoning Ordinance No. 67.  

The purposes of these amendments are to delete the Bridgewater Center (BCD) District in its entirety, to update the Local Commercial (C) District’s intent and applicable standards, and to insert new and updated provisions for wind energy conversion systems.

A copy of the Zoning Ordinance and amendatory ordinances may be purchased or inspected by appointment through the Township Clerk's office; please call (517) 315-7545.  The adopted amendments shall become effective on the eighth day following publication of this notice of adoption, unless referendum procedures are initiated under MCL 125.3402.  If referendum procedures are initiated under MCL 125.3402, the ordinance shall take effect in accordance with MCL 125.3402.
