Veterans invited to Klager Elementary to celebrate Veterans Day

Veterans Day is this Thursday November 11, 2021. Veterans Day occurs on Nov. 11 every year in the U.S. in honor of the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918 that signaled the end of World War I (previously known as Armistice Day.)

In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially changed the name of the holiday to Veterans Day. Veterans Day, not to be confused with Memorial Day, is a day that we honor all Veterans. Memorial Day is to remember those veterans who lost their lives in service to their country.

Klager Elementary School will be doing a program at Klager Elementary School (located at 405 Ann Arbor Street) on Thursday at 9:30 am; all are invited to attend. All veterans are welcome to join Klager Elementary students to celebrate and learn about those who served our country. This event is free; masks are required.
