The Men's Club tree sale is opening earlier this year!

Are you ready to do your Christmas Tree shopping right here in Manchester?

Once again this year, the Manchester Men's Club has you covered. But there are plenty of new changes that will make your season even more merry. Traditionally, the club has set up on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, but you'll be able to get your tree earlier this year.

President Andy Mahony says, "We will begin tree sales at noon on Black Friday (November 26) this year. We've received feedback over the last few years that many people have family traditions of getting a tree the day after Thanksgiving and we wanted to accommodate that."

The location remains at Chi-Bro Park on Ann Arbor Hill and will open from 12-8 pm on Friday, November 26; thereafter hours will be 9 am-5 pm on Saturday, 12-5 pm on Sunday, and Monday-Friday 5-8 pm.

With a limit of 200 trees this year, all bought locally from Arend Tree Farm in Grass Lake, you'll want to shop early for the best selection.

"Last year we had a record sellout in only eight days, and we expect them to go even faster this year," Mahony said. "We are keeping our price the same at $45/per tree and that is the lowest price around."

On opening weekend, to add to the holiday spirit, they will serve doughnuts from Alber's Orchard, hot chocolate and coffee on Friday, while supplies last. Throughout the weekend, the Men's Club also will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. This is another new feature this year!

"We are partnering with the Manchester Township Fire Department in ensuring these donations stay local!" Mahony said.
