On December 9th, Washtenaw County Farm Bureau president Joe Packard and Matthew Noggle presented Food Gatherers of Ann Arbor a check for $3,954.76 — the equivalent of 10,784 meals. This was raised this year at the Farm Bureau’s 2021 Young Farmer Golf tournament. This was their third year running the event and over the course of the three events they’ve raised over $10,000 for Food Gatherers, the equivalent of more than 30,000 meals for people in need in our community.

Noggle stated, “Thank you to all our participants and sponsors over the past three years and we are looking forward to another successful golf outing next year.”

Food Gatherers is the food bank and food rescue program serving Washtenaw County. They support a network of 170 community partners, including the Manchester Community Resource Center, with free and low-cost food, deliveries, and trainings.
