Worth Repeating makes 2021 "a good thing"

Worth Repeating, Manchester's charity resale shop, has given away $21,000 in cash and in-kind services to the Manchester community in 2021.

While 2021 wasn’t good for much, it was good to Worth Repeating. Throughout the year, our shoppers and donors continued to support Manchester’s charity resale shop. In 2021, Worth Repeating was able to give back $21,000 to community charities, schools, and efforts to make life in our community better through financial or in-kind contributions.

The following list includes the groups received help from Worth Repeating in 2021: Acorn Market, Beta Theta Pi Masters Sorority, David’s Coat Room, Downtown Development, Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce, Manchester Family Service, Manchester Music Boosters, Manchester Community Resource Center, Manchester Community Scholarship Fund, Manchester Community Schools, Manchester Coop Preschool, Manchester District Library, Manchester Lions Club, Manchester PTO, Manchester Robotics Team, and Pistol Prodigies.

Our efforts helped a variety of efforts, from helping fund Christmas lighting in downtown, S.T.E.M equipment for Klager, back to school shopping for Family Service clients, post card calendars of Manchester events, insurance for the annual canoe race, tricycles for the preschool, college scholarships for high school graduates, children’s events on Third Thursdays, and many more.

None of this would have been possible without the generous contributions of our volunteers, who share their time and talents; our generous donors who have helped supply our store with such interesting merchandise; and our shoppers, who support our store. We would also like to recognize Mike Meranuck of ER Lawn Service who took care of our snow removal and Midwest Enviro Solutions for helping sanitize the store last winter.

Our store is located at 110 E. Main St. We are open Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 am -2 pm and on Thursdays from 3-7 pm. We accept donations of saleable merchandise during open store hours. If you are purging your home as we begin the New Year, consider donating your like-new items to Worth Repeating.

It takes a community to make Worth Repeating a success, and we are proud to call the Manchester community our home.
