Ronald Walter, 80, of South Lyon, formerly from Manchester, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 6, 2022, at home, with his family by his side. He was born on December 30, 1941, in Tecumseh, Michigan to Mary (Ulrich) and Donald Walter. Ron married Carol Way, on May 22, 1971, in Manchester. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ron was a homebody, but loved travel, especially just hopping in the car for road trips. He enjoyed photographing nature, golf and bowling. Ron adored his family, especially his grandchildren, attending their functions and cheering them on at sporting events.

Ron was also a devoted friend who loved to party. He was a proud volunteer for Manchester Township Fire Department and retired after 10 years of service as Lieutenant. Ron had lived in several places but was always fondest of his Manchester roots.
