Duane Alwin Beuerle (January 10, 1930- January 16, 2022)

Duane Alwin Beuerle, 92, of Manchester, passed away January 16, 2022, at St Joseph Mercy Hospital.   Duane’s family and friends will gather Friday, January 21, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm with Rosary at 7:30 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes – Manchester Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 am, with family and friends gathering at 10:00 am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 210 W. Main St, Manchester, burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery.  Fr. Bosco Padamattummal will serve as Celebrant.

 He was born on January 10, 1930, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Alwin and Ella (Roller) Beuerle. Lifelong resident of Manchester, he graduated from Manchester High School, Class of 1948. Duane was drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany.  On May 9, 1959 Duane married the love of his life, Elizabeth Bell Torrey.  Duane was an electrician and member of IBEW Local 252 for 29 years, retiring in 1995.  He was a devout Catholic and founding member of the Manchester Knights of Columbus.  He was also a proud member of the American Legion, for 32 years, served as Vice Commander Honor Guard.  Duane’s other great enjoyments were farming the family farm, making wine, cooking Christmas dinners for his family, dancing and polka music.    

Duane will be missed by his wife Elizabeth; his sons Mark (Sherry) of Coldwater, MI, Gary of Manchester, MI and Eric (Stephanie) of Manchester, MI; grandsons Chad (Natalie) of Coldwater, MI, Kurt (Hillary) of Bronson, MI, Zachary (Cole) of Phoenix, AZ, and John Michael of Manchester, MI; great granddaughters Bowie, Mabel and Madelyn.
