Michael W. "Mike" Miner, August 11, 1950 - January 27, 2022

Michael William Miner, 71, of Manchester, passed away peacefully at Chelsea Community Hospital on January 27, 2022. Mike’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Eineder Funeral Homes – Manchester Chapel, 207 E. Duncan St., Manchester. The Miner family would appreciate if attendees would wear face masks and practice social distancing.

He was born on August 11, 1950, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Frank and Ortenis Miner. He will be remembered as a pillar of Manchester, serving as sexton of Oak Grove Cemetery for 49 years and oversaw St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery for more than 30 years. The cemetery was his life, as many know; his expertise was remarkable. Mike even spent time driving bus for the senior citizens for many years and was a member of the Manchester Historical Society. The Manchester Speedway reunion was a favorite event of Mike’s, where he was able to share stories of when he worked there as a teenager. He loved telling stories and had the most amazing memory for detail. Mike enjoyed sharing his love of music, cars and history with all who would listen. He passed on his vast knowledge of mechanics and love of cars to his son, Jason. When not working at the cemetery or on a vehicle, Mike could be found cruising around town with his wife Elsie, having lunch at Wendy’s, or touring local cemeteries.

Mike was an amazing Grandpa, never too busy to attend a sporting event, celebrate a birthday, or simply spend time playing pool or pushing kids on the swings. Mike left a true impact on all that knew him, and will forever be remembered for his witty personality and huge heart.

Mike will be missed by all those that love him, mostly his beloved family; his devoted and caring wife, Elsie; his sons Danny (Andrea) O’Dell and Jason (Michelle) Miner; his brother Mark (Nancy) Miner; grandchildren Katlyn Dembny, Amanda Shay, Nicholas Dembny, Jacob Miner and Justin Miner; and great granddaughter, Kendall Potgetter. He is preceded in death by his parents. He was also blessed with many wonderful friends, especially Doug Creech.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Please leave a message of comfort for Mike’s family or sign his guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
