WCSO: December 2021 report of police activity in the village

During the month of December, 2021 there were 108 calls for service. During this time, 55 traffic stops were made, resulting in 11 citations.

Noteworthy events in Manchester Village last month included:

On December 1, a collaboration Deputy conducted a traffic stop within the village. The driver of the vehicle had a warrant for his arrest and refused to exit the vehicle after being advised that he was under arrest. Minor force was used to effect the arrest of the individual. Officers from the Saline Police Department and the Clinton Police Department also assisted in the incident.

On December 13, a collaboration Deputy responded to the Riverside Intermediate School for a report that a student had possibly brought a gun or knife to school. The school activated a "soft lockdown." Ultimately, the threat was determined to be unfounded.

On December 21, a collaboration Deputy responded to the 200 block of Duncan St. for a report of identity theft. The victim reported that an unknown suspect obtained her identity by unknown means and was able to make purchases with her debit card totaling $223.50. It is unknown how the suspect(s) obtained the victim's information, and it is also unknown who the suspect(s) are.
