The Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce met for an annual organizational meeting on Wednesday, January 26, at the Village Room on the lower level of the library. A great turnout with nearly 20 members in attendance either in person or via Zoom, allowed plenty of information to be shared with everyone.

The main order of business was to fill vacancies on the Chamber's board of directors. There were at least two standing vacancies on the board and some members who wished to step down from their board responsibilities. The new board for 2022 will consist of Tammy Melcher (Elser & Briggs), Lisa Fookes (Sutton Insurance Agency), Joe Jarvis (River Raisin Distillery), Joe Walsh (Manchester Community Schools), Barry Allen (Worth Repeating), Danielle Hitt (Adorned Tattoo LLC), Marsha Chartrand (Manchester Mirror), Merrill Guerra (Red Barn Realty One LLC), and Kathleen Dimond (Manchester District Library).

The group discussed promoting membership in the Chamber as well as upcoming annual events, including the annual Chamber/CRC Golf Outing scheduled for June 11 at Hills Heart O' the Lakes. The Chamber board will meet next at 6:30 pm on February 9 in the Village Room on the lower level of the Library at 912 City Road. For more information on joining the MACC, visit the website at 48158.com.
