Rebecca Gayle Shadley (November 29, 1945 – January 21, 2022)

Rebecca Gayle Shadley, age 76, from Tecumseh, Michigan (originally from Manchester, Michigan).  The daughter of Charles and Irene (Wriska) Schebor, was born on November 29, 1945.  Rebecca married her High School sweetheart, David Shadley on December 7, 1963 and they have two daughters, Michelle Shadley and Melinda (George) Truchan.

Rebecca was a very well-known business entrepreneur and local Realtor.  Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as traveling around the United States and cruises to Hawaii, Alaska and the Caribbean Islands.  Rebecca also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family while gardening, dancing, playing cards and scrapbooking.

Rebecca was predeceased by her loving husband, David, just a short time ago on August 19, 2021.  She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Irene Schebor, her four half brothers, Charles Schebor, Jr., Robert Schebor, Joseph Wolf and Kenneth Wolf.

Rebecca is survived by her two daughters Michelle Shadley of Tecumseh and Melinda (George) Truchan of Brooklyn, Michigan.  In addition, Rebecca is survived by her two brothers Donald (Ann Pat) Wolf and David (Debbie) Wolf, both of Manchester and a special niece, Stephanie (Martin) Gilson of Glenview, IL, who was like a little sister to her.  Also, many surviving in-laws, to include her brother-in-laws Jerry (Carole) Shadley and Gary (Bonnie) Shadley and sister-in-laws Barb Barker, Pat Carpenter, Diana (Kenneth) Kenyon, Linda Shook, Mitzi Schuler and Debbie Jacobs.

The pure enjoyment and happiness for Rebecca came from her grandchildren: Johnathan (Jessica) Willoughby, Michael Shadley, Cassandra Eller, Chelsea (Jeff) Ulfig, Heather (Jared) Grandy, Racquel (Cole) Knaup.  Rebecca also adored entertaining her great-grandchildren: Dominic Willoughby, Brianna Willoughby, Amelia Eller, Alexandra Eller, Harper Knaup and Fitzgerald Grandy.

Pursuant to Rebecca’s request for cremation, the family has planned a Celebration of Life Memorial on April 23, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the A.J. Smith Recreation Center, 810 N. Evans Street, Tecumseh, Michigan.
