NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS

During their regular March meeting, the Bridgewater Township Board of Trustees adopted Ordinance No. 67-7, by authority of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (Public Act 110 of 2006, MCL 125.3101 et. seq., as amended), to amend 2.0 (Zoning Districts) and 5.0 (Use Standards) of Zoning Ordinance No. 67 to revise limits for non-farm keeping of bees and farm animals in the R-3 (Hamlet Residential) District, and to allow for a medical marijuana primary caregiver home occupation in the AG (General Agriculture) zoning district subject to specific conditions consistent with recent changes to Michigan case law.

A copy of the Zoning Ordinance and amendatory ordinance may be purchased or inspected by appointment through the Township Clerk's office; please call (517) 315-7545. The adopted amendments shall become effective on the eighth day following publication of this notice of adoption, unless referendum procedures are initiated under MCL 125.3402. If referendum procedures are initiated under MCL 125.3402, the ordinance shall take effect in accordance with MCL 125.3402.
